onthecase was formed in the spring of 2009. Although new, the company has over 35 years management experience in the sign industry. Owner Jamie Wood was formerly managing director of Wood & Wood International Signs, and then for 12 years ran signsystems, now established as one of the UK’s leading companies providing modular sign systems. When Allsigns International took over signsystems earlier in 2009, Jamie kept one of the best selling products, showcasewsm, and set up onthecase.
The company is the partner of the manufacturers in Germany, and they have a unique relationship. As sole distributors, onthecase market the increasingly wide range to the sign trade, street furniture industry, and to the specifier. The Germans manufacture, pack, and ship direct to the customers of onthecase.
Reduced costs, direct shipment, and improved delivery times have enabled the company to make an immediate impact in the market.
Whilst not a new policy, the tried and tested approach of selling to architects, designers, and to trade only, ensures the products can be specified knowing they are readily available to the trade when tendering.
Regular trade customers include Greenbarnes, Rivermeade, signsystems ltd, Edmonds, Wood & Wood International Signs, Green Brothers, Clarks, IS Group, Westmoreland Signs, Parc Signs and Merson Signs to name but a few.
Leading design and architectural companies such as BDP, Holmes Wood, FW Design, Amos, KSS, Transport Design and Placemarque have recently specified onthecase products.
